"What'd you EXPECT faeries to do?"
~ Sara and Hoggle from Labyrinth
Seriously, folks. And I can't blame her for doing it. When you have a human try to pluck your wings from your back, what are you SUPPOSED to do? Sit there and let her do her thing? Well, I've had lots of injuries from Faeries before, all sustained while trying to swipe their gossamer wings...but never one quite so terrible. Don't worry. Small fae, like this one happened to be, have very tiny mouths. It didn't break the skin, though it was numb for a good while, and made me quite euphoric. (Bet you didn't know that their saliva is a narcotic, did you?) And don't worry about the Faerie. Their wings grow back. As long as she's in love. And I've never met a Faerie who isn't!
I know. It's a rough job. But SOMEONE's got to do it.
